1. The Founding Members (FMs) are the 7 Founding Members of Curry Club™ who are Executive Directors (EDs) on the Board of Directors (BoDs), led by our Chairman and Founder.
2. Requests for new Factions must be sent to ChairmanC@curryclub.club detailing the number of Members requesting to join the new Faction along with nicknames, the primary location of the Faction and the NED(s) (see point three (3)). These requests will be discussed and approved by the BoDs.
3. Once a new Faction has been approved, the requester (or requesters) of this new Faction becomes a Non-Executive Director (NED), or Joint Non-Executive Director (a maximum of two (2)).
4. The NED(s) are responsible for upholding the rules and values of Curry Club™ for their Faction. Any questions, queries or escalations can come via the channels explained in point two (2).
5. Curry Club™ must take place a minimum of one (1) time per calendar month. It can exceed this, but it cannot fall short of this minimum.
6. The date of the next Curry Club™ Outing should be agreed by every Member when at the current Curry Club™ to allow enough time to find a date before everyone is booked up and to confirm attendance while all Members are together. A Doodle is a good help for finding a date all can do.
7. At your Inaugural Curry Club™ Outing (ICCO), a set order of Hosts will be agreed.
8. Each Member will take it in turns to Host and choose a restaurant for the Outing, in the order as agreed in point seven (7).
9. Each Curry Club™ Member must choose a different restaurant than has previously been visited until all Members have picked at least one (1). The same restaurant can then be suggested again for future.
10. The Member whose turn it is to Host will be responsible for booking the table and confirming attendance and timings.
11. All must strive to find a date that all can attend (it need not be a weekend). Curry Club™ should not happen without a minimum of 57% of its Members attending. For context, this percentage is based off a minimum of 4 out of the 7 FMs attending an Outing. If no date at all for the following month can be agreed by more than 57% of Members, Curry Club™ will be cancelled for that month and a date decided for the following month. This should not happen.
12. A Member must have ‘good reason’ not to be able to attend. Wherever possible, a new date must be suggested to ensure all Members can attend.
13. ‘Good reason’ will be decided on by all Members who can attend. All those deciding must reach a 71% in favour agreement on whether the Member who cannot attend has a ‘good reason’. For context, this percentage is based off a minimum of 5 out of the 7 FMs agreeing. Since Curry Club™ will often be planned a month in advance, ‘good reason’ will be rare.
14. If a Member misses more than one (1) Curry Club™ in three (3) consecutive Outings without‘good reason’, he will be suspended from the next outing. I.e. if a Member misses two (2) Curry Club™ Outings between April-June for example, he will miss July’s Outing.
15. If a Member misses more than two (2) Curry Club™ Outings in six (6) without ‘good reason’, he will be removed from Curry Club™ until all Members unanimously agree he should be let back in.
16. Once a date is agreed, the Host should add the date, time and at least area (specific restaurant can be left as a surprise) to his phone calendar and send the invite to each Member’s email so it is also added to their phone calendar. Each Member should set a reminder to alert them of the event one week prior and one day prior, with a new reminder then being set for two (2) hours before. This is to ensure no excuses for ‘forgetting’.
17. It is encouraged that a group picture of all attending Members should be taken at each Outing for memory.
18. If the Members of a Faction so wish, they can keep track of each Outing (date, venue, attendees) and rate the meal using the following BoDs approved criteria: food (taste), menu options, service, value for money, atmosphere. These are all rated out of ten (10).
19. No new Members will be added to your Curry Club™ Faction without the agreed permission of every existing Member of that Faction. It is the NEDs responsibility to ensure any new Members tick all the boxes needed to be a Curry Club™ Member and as such the BoDs do not need to get involved in this – trust is important.
20. Members should follow the organisation’s social page on Instagram - @curryclubtm.
21. It is highly encouraged for Curry Club™ as an organisation to be promoted. A referral reward is on offer if new Factions are created from word of mouth.
22. NEDs are responsible for ensuring these are Terms signed by all Members of your Faction. Please keep them for safekeeping. NEDs must sign and send their copy to chairmanc@curryclub.club.
Please note: We do not wish to punish Members – we hope a Member never misses a single Curry Club™, but we appreciate this is not always possible. We simply wish that this is a regular and loyal occurrence to ensure complete satisfaction for all Members and the continuation of our bond.
I hereby agree to the Curry Club™ Terms and Conditions
